Art after Dark Is Tomorrow: 10/10/26!
May you find yourself at Soft Corners tomorrow, October 10, 2026, 5pm to 8pm. Remember to bring ID - show is 18+. As always, great snacks, libations, beverages, and sweet treats will amplify the experience.
Six years ago, when our founder purchased the condo in Nob Hill, she knew she wanted to host an erotic poetry reading. She had no idea what she'd call the place, how she'd open it, what all she'd do ... but she knew it offered great location and layout that could allow her to create connections and community.
Now, we're one day away from Soft Corners Studio Center's inaugural Erotic Arts Show, featuring photography, collage, paintings, sketches, spray paint, palette knife painting, poetry, prose, and more. The work represents and delves into queer and trans experiences, surgery, kink and Leather desires, furry expression, archetypes, fetishes, confidence, fear, longing, repulsion, passion, power, and so much more.

Thirty-eight exquisite unique pieces await your arrival. Come and take your time taking in each one.
At 6:30pm, we'll commence our erotic poetry and prose reading, which packs some surprises! Our founder is sharing a brazen new poem. m.e. gamlem will be reading from their novel-in-progress, plus we now carry 4 of gamlem's zines. We've got five writers lined up to share hot, sweet, juicy bits of their oeuvres ...
Our book list has grown quite a bit! Need a good read? We got you: poetry, short stories, zines, comic books, novels, plus coloring books for stress relief!

Plus, we host part of The People's Library-ABQ's collection, from which you are welcome to borrow. Children's books and adult books await!
We can't believe how much we've grown in two years! We'll be doing our best to sleep tonight, we're already buzzing with excitement! One more thing:
We've had two great questions come in:
1) Where does the suggested donation go? Is it required?
First, NO, not required, suggested. Please give only if you feel comfortable doing so. Second, donations help offset our event costs, and more importantly go toward our Wish List for improvements: new and bigger fridge, new toilet seat, door repair! We so appreciate donations and we don't want anyone to not come if they can't donate at this time. Come! Soft Corners is a space for all of us.
2) What's the dress code?
Comfort comes first! We want you to feel at east in the space. If you like dressing up, go for it! This is such a great event to show off new shoes, new dress, new bowtie ... you get the idea
